Hi, my name is Angiee J, BSN, RN, RAC-CT and I am the owner of The MDS Nurse LLC. My nursing background includes Research, ICU, and Outpatient PACU. I came into the role of an MDS Coordinator in 2018, as I was looking to transition out of the bedside. With no LTC experience and no real clue what the job actually entailed, I quickly became overwhelmed and concerned that I had made a mistake taking on this role. Almost 5 years later, I do not regret my decision and have come to enjoy what the role has to offer.
The MDS Nurse seeks to assist nurses into their new role of MDS Nurse or MDS Coordinator, who may not have received adequate training and lack resources to effectively do their job. We are available to answer questions and will soon be launching a self-paced, online training course to help you get a jumpstart into your new role.
